Frequently Asked Questions

What does basic living skills training look like in practice?

A practitioner meets with you regularly — at home, in the community, or virtually — and works on specific skills tied to your goals. That might mean building a weekly budget, practicing how to use public transit, or setting up a morning routine that supports your mental health.

How often will we meet?

Frequency depends on your goals and Diagnostic Assessment. Many clients meet 1–3 times per week, with the schedule adjusted as you progress.

Is this the same thing as case management?

No — ARMHS is a clinical mental health service focused on skill building and rehabilitation. Case management coordinates resources and services. Many of our clients have both.
