Frequently Asked Questions

What kinds of coping skills do you teach?

We pull from evidence-informed approaches — mindfulness, behavioral activation, grounding, distress tolerance, cognitive reframing, sleep hygiene, and more. The mix is tailored to your goals and what actually works for you.

Is this the same as therapy?

No. ARMHS is a rehabilitative service focused on skill building. It complements therapy and medication management. Many clients see a therapist or psychiatrist and use ARMHS to practice and apply skills in everyday life.

Do I need a crisis plan?

A written crisis plan is one of the most useful things we build together. It identifies your warning signs, what helps, who to call, and what to do — so you and your supports are ready before a crisis hits.
